Increased efficiency thanks to automated services accounting

Our assignment for Interact Consulting AG was to increase the efficiency of processing the daily mountains of paper. By indexing and capturing the documents electronically, we will generate cost savings in the range of millions over the next four years. The automated processes have positive effects on the whole company.’

The exploding costs in the healthcare sector have been a constant topic for debate in politics and the media. The causes leading to the increase in healthcare costs are varied: an aging population, advances in medicine, ever more complex special devices, the constantly rising administrative costs, etc. The latter problem also affects, in particular, the health insurance companies.

With about 1.2 million insurants, CSS Insurance is one of the leading health insurance providers in Switzerland. Since about eight million documents currently need to be processed every year, there was no way the company could have avoided electronic invoice processing. To realize this potential, CSS launched the ADLER project: Automated Detailed Services Accounting for Invoices. For over three years, CSS has reduced its administrative costs successfully and sustainably thanks to the CaptureMed solution.
